It is my desire to do a consistent 3 hours of practice every day. I have divided my time into three even portions and prioritized. My 1st priority is the work assigned to me by Mark and the ensemble work I need to do, which go hand-in-hand. The second priority is Jack’s class, where we do mash-ups of Bird solos from the Omnibook, taking licks and putting them in other tunes. The third priority is an hour of Classical work: Orchestral Rep, solo work, etudes, and scales. This, being a secondary lesson for me, is the last to work and the first to get dropped if I run out of time in a day.
