Stumbling through Jeff Seigel (Straight No Chaser)’s post on holiday jazz led me to the wonderful world of AccuRadio. I’ve been a big fan of Pandora for a while now and, while aware of AccuRadio, remained in love with Pandora’s ability to tailor the station to my liking.
Let me be honest (unlike everything else you read here): I’ve not done much exploring yet. I’m hooked on Covering All the Bassists, AccuRadio’s jazz-bassist-specific station! It’s everything I could ever want in a radio station – 100% jazz bass!
Now, when it’s playing news or jazz, I’m listening to WUSF 89.7, my NPR station (did I mention I have my own show – Wednesday mornings at 1:00?) for the great programming they offer. When it’s daytime (a time neglected by most terrestrial stations with a jazz presence), AccuRadio it now is.
